As part of our focus on our Ink of the Day, here is a writing sample of Van Dieman's Golden Nugget Pumpkin. This sample was done using a Zebra G nib in a standard dip pen on Rhodia Blank White Paper to demonstrate both thin and thick line variation.
Here is also another writing sample using a Jinhao 599-a to show this inks use in a more traditional fountain pen.
Golden Nugget Pumpkin is our brightest and most outstanding Orange yet. This ink is truly bursting off the page, and custom designed to flow flawlessly and smoothly. It is not as red as Sailor's Delight or Tassie Salmon, nor as yellow as Deciduous Beech or Apricot. It is most similar in hue to our original West Coast Sunset Tangerine, but is more more vibrant and saturated in colour.
It has some light shading and works well in artwork as can be seen from its use in the pumpkins on the box cover, but it is best suited to writing.
The Van Diemen's Harvest inks are an ambitious collection of inks, all named after and based on the delicious and tantalising produce of Tasmania.
The box and bottle artwork is done with brush and pen solely using the harvest inks by Belinda Rix.
Every day, we highlight one of the seventy Van Dieman's Inks in our collection.
